John Yamane is involved in all aspects of finance, accounting and reporting for Belay Investment Group, LLC. Mr. Yamane has 17 years of experience with financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, and data analytics for vertically integrated real estate asset managers and public and private real estate funds.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Yamane oversaw financial planning and analysis and financial reporting as the Vice President of Finance at CIRE Equity, a vertically integrated asset manager with over $800 million of real estate assets. Preceding CIRE, he also served as Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at CIM Group, a vertically integrated manager of over $30 billion of real estate assets, where he oversaw property level budgeting and forecasting, fund level strategic planning, maintenance of the firm’s investment track record, data analytics tools, and management company reporting and cost allocations. Mr. Yamane began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he advised on transaction structuring, primarily within the context of US GAAP and SEC rules, as part of the Transaction Services practice and led audit fieldwork as part of the Audit and Assurance practice.
Mr. Yamane holds dual B.S. degrees in Business Administration (Finance) and Accounting from the University of Southern California. He is a CPA in California (inactive).
